Zainab is a registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) with an M.S. and Ed.S degree in School Psychology from California State University, Sacramento. She takes on a strengths-based, culturally sensitive, and client centered approach to therapy. She is a dedicated and compassionate therapist with a passion for helping individuals achieve positive changes in their lives and helping clients develop skills for navigating challenges. Her mission is to provide a safe, non-judgemental space where individuals can explore their thoughts, process emotions, understand behaviors and work collaboratively to meet their unique needs and goals.
Zainab practices a holistic approach to therapy that views individuals as interconnected systems, addressing their emotional, physical, social, and spiritual well-being. This approach recognizes that our wellness is influenced by various internal and external factors and aims to promote balance and healing by considering the whole person, and not just their symptoms. Zainab utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) Therapy, Creative/Art Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Gottman Method, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness. She has experience in working with neurodiverse individuals, ADHD, OCD, anxiety, depression, autism, trauma, learning disabilities, etc.
