Mahmoud Teran is an alumnus of Wayne State University with a B.S. degree with a major in neuroscience, a co-major in university honors, and a minor in public health. He is currently applying to medical school to pursue his goal of becoming a physician. Having lived in Syria and Saudi Arabia, Mahmoud is driven by his experiences and a desire to make a difference in healthcare, with a research interest in the neuropsychopharmacological field. Mahmoud also has an appreciation for community service, having several years of experience as a youth counselor in his community. Beyond his academic and professional careers, Mahmoud enjoys working on cars, working out, and being outdoors.
